A donation center in Omaha will collect supplies Saturday and Sunday to support families affected by the earthquake in Venezuela.

The collection will run from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Millennium Night Club, located at 5083 S. 136th St., Omaha, NE 68137.

The effort will gather essential items for people affected by the emergency. Volunteers are also needed during the collection days.

Items accepted in Omaha

The donation center will accept nonperishable food, medicine, first aid supplies and personal hygiene products. Clothing, blankets and throws in good condition will also be accepted, along with formula and baby items.

The collection will also include pet food, boxes and thick markers to help organize, sort and prepare the donations. Clothing donations must be clean and in good condition. Dirty or damaged clothing will not be accepted.

The site will be Millennium Night Club, at 5083 S. 136th St., in southwest Omaha.

The location will allow donations to be received during an 11-hour collection period each day, with space to organize items and prepare them for shipment.
