OMAHA, Nebraska — Fiestas Patrias continues Saturday, Sept. 12, along Historic South 24th Street with an 11 a.m. parade, live music throughout the day, lucha libre and a headline performance by Kumbia Kings at 8:45 p.m.
The South Omaha celebration is free and will continue through 10:30 p.m. Saturday near South 24th and N streets.
Saturday is the busiest day of the three-day festival, which began Friday and continues through Sunday with cultural performances, food vendors, carnival attractions and events tied to Mexican Independence Day.
The Fiestas Patrias parade begins at 11 a.m. Saturday
The annual Independence Day parade will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. along Historic South 24th Street.
Parade participants are scheduled to assemble between 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. before the procession begins near South 24th and M streets.
The festival is free to attend. Food, vendor purchases and carnival attractions may carry separate charges.
Saturday’s stage schedule ends with Kumbia Kings at 8:45 p.m.
Entertainment begins after the parade and continues into the evening.

- 3:30 p.m.: Oye Como Va — Santana Tribute
- 4:30 p.m.: Hispanic Art Center of Omaha

- 8:45 p.m.: Kumbia Kings

A free health fair will run Saturday in South Omaha
The South Omaha Community Care Council Health Fair is also part of Saturday’s Fiestas Patrias activities near South 24th and M streets.
CHI Health and local health professionals are scheduled to provide health information and complimentary screenings during the community event.
Fiestas Patrias has limited parking near the South 24th Street corridor
Public parking options are available near the festival, but space is limited.
The Wells Fargo lot at 4650 S. 24th St. is available for festival parking Saturday after 1 p.m. A lot at Skadraski Heating & Cooling, 5115 S. 25th St., also offers limited free parking during the festival.
Organizers have also identified parking near the Walgreens at 24th and L streets.
Private lots serving businesses near 25th and L streets are not designated for festival parking and may be monitored for towing.
Downtown Omaha will hold a separate El Grito celebration Saturday
Fiestas Patrias will continue in South Omaha while another Mexican Independence Day celebration takes place downtown Saturday afternoon.
The Consulate of Mexico-led El Grito event will run from 4 to 10 p.m. at Gene Leahy Mall, 1001 Douglas St. The ceremony itself is scheduled for 9:35 p.m..

The two events are separate. Fiestas Patrias remains centered on Historic South 24th Street, while the Consulate-led celebration takes place downtown at Gene Leahy Mall.
Sunday brings a Mariachi Mass, more lucha libre and fireworks
Fiestas Patrias returns Sunday for its final day, beginning with the annual Mariachi Mass at 10:30 a.m. near South 24th and N streets.
Mariachi Los Caballeros will perform while Assumption Guadalupe Church leads the service.
Sunday’s program also includes Grupo Azteca, Grupo Torbellino, additional live music, lucha libre, Ray Bustamante y Los Nobles and Banda Santa Cruz.
The weekend will close Sunday night with the Fiestas Patrias El Grito celebration and fireworks.

Fiestas Patrias is celebrating 106 years of Mexican festivals in Omaha in 2026. Saturday’s activities run through 10:30 p.m., with the festival returning Sunday for its final day.
