OMAHA, Nebraska — Brazilian libero Keyt Alves is joining LOVB Nebraska for the 2026-27 season after spending the past six years playing in Brazil and winning two championships with Sesi Vôlei Bauru.
Alves, a native of Bauru, São Paulo, joins a Nebraska roster that also includes returning libero Lexi Rodriguez and several players with Olympic, international and collegiate experience ahead of the team’s third professional season.
She made her top-division Superliga debut with Sesi Vôlei Bauru during the 2024-25 season.

During the 2025-26 season, Alves helped Sesi Vôlei Bauru win the South American Club Championship and the Paulista Championship.
Earlier in her career, she helped Abel/Moda Brusque win the 2021-22 Superliga C title before moving into Brazil’s top professional division.
“Keyt has competed and won in a strong volleyball environment in Brazil,” said Kirsten Bernthal Booth, president of business operations for LOVB Nebraska.
Booth said Alves gives Nebraska another option in the backcourt as the team prepares for the new season.

Keyt Alves joins Lexi Rodriguez at libero for LOVB Nebraska
Alves joins a position group that also includes Lexi Rodriguez, who returns for another season with Omaha’s professional volleyball team.
Rodriguez joined LOVB after four seasons with Nebraska Volleyball and finished her college career as the Huskers’ all-time leader in digs.
The 2026-27 roster also includes Jordan Larson, Ana Carolina da Silva, Anne Buijs, Rebekah Allick, Lindsay Krause-Wildeman, Sabrina Starks and other players with professional and international experience.
Alves becomes another Brazilian player on the Nebraska roster alongside Ana Carolina da Silva.
LOVB Nebraska’s roster includes four Nebraska natives
LOVB Nebraska initially introduced its 2026-27 roster in July with four players from the state: Jordan Larson, Rebekah Allick, Lindsay Krause-Wildeman and Sabrina Starks.
Larson, a Hooper native and four-time Olympic medalist, returned for another professional season after previously indicating that 2026 would be her final year on the court.
The roster also brings back international players including Anne Buijs of the Netherlands and Ana Carolina da Silva of Brazil.
LOVB Nebraska opens the season against Austin on Dec. 16
LOVB Nebraska will open its third professional season on Wednesday, Dec. 16, against LOVB Austin at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The match is part of LOVB First Serve and will take place during NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship Week in San Antonio.
Austin knocked Nebraska out of playoff contention during the final week of the 2026 regular season. LOVB Nebraska finished the year with a 10-10 record.
