The clear bag policy does not apply to regular daytime visits
The Zoo’s clear-bag policy applies to events restricted to guests age 21 and older and to other special events that specifically require clear bags.
Regular daytime Zoo admission follows different rules. Bags, coolers and wagons are allowed, although Zoo staff may inspect them at the entrance.
For regular daytime visits, glass containers and alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
Guests attending a special after-hours event should check that event’s policies separately because bag, food and security rules may differ from regular Zoo admission.

Outside food and drinks are allowed during regular Zoo visits
Visitors may bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages during regular daytime visits.
Food and drinks may be carried in a bag or cooler, which can be inspected at the entrance. Glass containers and alcohol are prohibited.
Bags and coolers must remain with their owners because the Zoo does not provide lockers for storing personal belongings.
Some Zoo attractions cost extra
Regular admission includes the Zoo’s animal habitats, including the Scott Aquarium and other major exhibit areas.
Some additional attractions have separate fees. Admission to the Lozier Giant Screen Theater costs $7 per film for non-members and is not included with general Zoo admission.
Other attractions, including some rides and seasonal experiences, may also carry separate charges or operate only during certain hours or weather conditions.
A two-day Zoo pass offers a discount
The Zoo offers a two-day admission option at a 25% discount. The second visit must be used consecutively with the first day.
Admission prices, attraction schedules and individual habitat hours can change by season. The Zoo’s daily operating information is updated through its visitor information.
Through Nov. 3, regular Zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; beginning Nov. 4, winter operating hours shift to 10 a.m. to 4 p.m..
