OMAHA, NE — LOVB Nebraska’s third professional season will begin Wednesday, Dec. 16, against LOVB Austin at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The match is currently the first confirmed date on the 2026-27 LOVB schedule. First Serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT, and tickets for the San Antonio match are on sale.
LOVB has not yet released Nebraska’s complete 2026-27 schedule, home dates or home venues. The team’s season membership information says venues, pricing and the full 2027 schedule will be announced this fall.
LOVB Nebraska opens Dec. 16 against Austin in San Antonio
LOVB Nebraska will face Austin at Frost Bank Center, 1 Frost Bank Center Drive, in the opening match of the 2026-27 LOVB Pro season.
The match is part of LOVB First Serve and will take place during NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship week in San Antonio. The NCAA semifinals begin the following day at the Alamodome.
Austin enters the season as the two-time defending LOVB champion. The teams also met in Nebraska’s final regular-season match of 2026, when Austin’s five-set victory helped eliminate Nebraska from the four-team playoff field.
The Frost Bank Center event listing confirms the Dec. 16 match at 7 p.m. and lists tickets as on sale.
The full LOVB Nebraska 2026-27 schedule is still pending
LOVB has not yet announced Nebraska’s remaining opponents, dates or home venues for the 2026-27 season.
The league’s schedule currently lists the Dec. 16 opener, while LOVB Nebraska’s season membership information says venues, pricing and the full 2027 schedule will be shared this fall.
Nebraska played nine home matches at Baxter Arena in Omaha during the 2026 regular season and one at Heartland Events Center in Grand Island. Those venues should not be treated as confirmed for 2026-27 until LOVB releases the new home schedule.
LOVB Nebraska season memberships require a $100 deposit
LOVB Nebraska is accepting $100 deposits per account for 2026-27 season memberships.
The deposit gives new season members priority access to seat selection after returning members and secures access to every LOVB Nebraska home match once the schedule and seating are finalized.
Season memberships also include preferred ticket pricing and other member benefits. Individual prices and Nebraska home venues have not yet been released.
Jordan Larson will return for the 2026-27 season
Jordan Larson will return to LOVB Nebraska after previously planning to end her professional playing career following the 2026 season.
The April 4 finale against Austin was presented at the time as Larson’s final professional match. She finished that night with 19 kills and 20 digs in Nebraska’s five-set loss.
Larson later decided to continue playing, and LOVB Nebraska confirmed her return for 2026-27 in July.
The team’s roster also includes returning players Lexi Rodriguez, Anne Buijs, Ana Carolina da Silva and Vicky Savard. Nebraska natives Rebekah Allick, Lindsay Krause-Wildeman and Sabrina Starks joined the roster, and Brazilian libero Keyt Alves was added in September.
LOVB Nebraska finished the 2026 season 10-10
Nebraska completed its second professional season with a 10-10 record, doubling its win total from its 5-11 inaugural regular season in 2025.

Baxter Arena hosted nine of Nebraska’s 10 home matches, while Heartland Events Center in Grand Island hosted the March 7 match against Salt Lake.
Nebraska won seven of its final nine regular-season matches before losing the April 4 finale to Austin.

Grand Island hosted one LOVB Nebraska home match in 2026
LOVB Nebraska played Salt Lake at Heartland Events Center in Grand Island on March 7, bringing a regular-season home match outside the Omaha area.
Nebraska swept Salt Lake 29-27, 25-16 and 25-22. The victory began the late-season stretch in which Nebraska won seven of its final nine matches.
The other nine Nebraska home dates were played at Baxter Arena in Omaha.
A three-team tie left Nebraska outside the 2026 playoffs
Nebraska entered its April 4 finale with a chance to reach the postseason, but Austin won in five sets at Baxter Arena, 22-25, 26-24, 25-19, 22-25 and 15-10.
Austin, Salt Lake and Nebraska all finished 10-10. LOVB’s tiebreaking procedures placed Austin third, Salt Lake fourth and Nebraska fifth, leaving Nebraska outside the four-team playoff field.
