The Colombian Independence Festival is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, at Bellevue Berry & Pumpkin Ranch in Papillion.
Now in its fourth year, the celebration will bring the community together for a Latino event dedicated to Colombian culture and traditions. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 11001 S 48th St, Papillion, NE 68133.

Bellevue Berry & Pumpkin Ranch will host the Colombian event Sunday, July 19, one day before Colombia’s official Independence Day, observed every July 20.
The venue is located south of the Omaha metro area and regularly hosts festivals, family activities, seasonal events and community gatherings.
The event will bring together families, friends, vendors, sponsors and residents interested in taking part in the Colombian Independence celebration.
The festival is entering its fourth year
The festival marks its fourth year in Nebraska, continuing as a summer community gathering dedicated to Colombian culture.
The event brings together symbols associated with Colombia, including the colors of the flag, tropical birds, flowers, the national coat of arms and elements connected to soccer, one of the country’s most recognized cultural references.
The celebration also connects with a central date for the Colombian community. July 20 marks the beginning of Colombia’s independence process and remains one of the country’s most important national commemorations.
