Lincoln, NE — Nebraska Hispanic Fest will bring live music, folkloric dance and food-eating competitions to Lincoln on Sunday, August 2.
The celebration will run from noon to 10 p.m. at the Sandhills Global Event Center, located at 4100 N. 84th St., as part of the Lancaster County Super Fair.
The lineup includes performances by Mari Monroe y su Grupo, Conjunto Invierno, Ballet Folclórico Ritmo y Raíz and México Lindo Folklórico. Taco- and pupusa-eating competitions are also scheduled.
General admission is $5 per person. Children age 5 and younger enter free, and parking is available at no cost.

The program will begin at noon
DJ Toons will open the event at noon.
The taco-eating competition will begin at 1:45 p.m., followed by a performance from Ballet Folclórico Ritmo y Raíz at 2:30 p.m.
The pupusa-eating competition is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Mari Monroe y su Grupo will take the stage at 4:30 p.m.
México Lindo Folklórico will perform at 6:30 p.m., and Conjunto Invierno will close the musical program beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 and parking is free
General admission to the Lancaster County Super Fair is $5 per person. Children age 5 and younger receive free admission.
The fair is also offering a buy-one-get-one-free promotion. With a participating coupon, the purchase of one $5 admission includes a second admission at no cost.
Coupons are available while supplies last at participating U-Stop Convenience Shop, Super Saver and Russ’s Market locations.
Another option provides a $5 discount on admission to a grandstand event. That ticket also includes general fair admission.
The venue accepts cash and major credit cards. Payment methods at food stands, vendor booths and retail areas may vary.
Carnival rides require separate tickets
Carnival rides will operate Sunday, August 2, from noon to 11 p.m.
Ride wristbands and tickets are sold separately from general admission to the festival and fair.
Visitors younger than 16 may not remain at the fairgrounds without supervision. Fair policy requires them to be accompanied by an adult who is at least 19 years old.
The venue includes indoor restrooms and accessible parking areas for visitors with mobility needs.
