LINCOLN, Nebraska — Nebraska and Creighton meet again in volleyball Wednesday, Sept. 16, in one of the state’s most anticipated regular-season matchups.
The match begins at 6 p.m. CT at Pinnacle Bank Arena, 400 Pinnacle Arena Drive in Lincoln, and will air nationally on Big Ten Network (BTN).
The match is sold out.
It will also be Nebraska’s only regular-season match scheduled at Pinnacle Bank Arena in 2026. The Huskers play most of their home schedule at John Cook Arena inside the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
Nebraska enters the Creighton match undefeated
Nebraska enters Wednesday with a 7-0 record after defeating Georgia Tech 3-1 Saturday in Lincoln.
The Huskers dropped the opening set 26-24 before responding with wins of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-12 to remain undefeated.
Nebraska is currently ranked No. 1 nationally and has opened the season with wins over opponents including Texas, Baylor and Georgia Tech.
Creighton comes to Lincoln with a 5-4 record after closing the weekend with a 3-1 loss to Rice in Houston.
The Bluejays faced Louisville, Northern Iowa and Rice during the Rice Invitational.
Nebraska carries a 24-0 all-time record against Creighton
Nebraska is 24-0 all time against Creighton.
The rivalry has still produced several close matches in recent seasons. Three of the four meetings before the teams’ spring 2026 matchup went five sets.
In September 2025, Nebraska defeated Creighton 3-2 in Omaha in front of 17,675 fans.
Both programs also reached the NCAA Regional Finals last season.
Wednesday’s match is part of Nebraska’s nonconference schedule before the Huskers begin Big Ten play.
Big Ten Network will carry Nebraska vs. Creighton at 6 p.m.
The match will air on Big Ten Network.

Two Haymarket streets will close for the match
The match will also bring traffic changes around Pinnacle Bank Arena.
“R” Street between Seventh Street and Pinnacle Arena Drive and Canopy Street between “Q” and “R” streets will close beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The closures are scheduled to remain in place until 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.
Several public parking garages and lots are located around the Haymarket and Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Pinnacle Bank Arena limits bag sizes
Pinnacle Bank Arena allows one clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag measuring no more than 12 by 12 by 6 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag or a small clutch measuring no more than 4.5 by 6.5 inches.
Bags are subject to inspection before entry.
The arena does not store prohibited items. Items that cannot be brought inside must be returned to a vehicle or discarded.
