OMAHA AND LINCOLN, Nebraska — Job seekers will have two opportunities to meet employers Thursday, Sept. 17, with career fairs scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. CT in Omaha and Lincoln.
Lincoln’s Welcoming Neighbors Career Fair will offer interpreters and is designed to connect foreign-born professionals and job seekers — including new Americans, immigrants and asylees — with local employers.
At the same time, Puertas Abiertas Job Fair will bring employers and job seekers together at Heartland Workforce Solutions in South Omaha.
Lincoln career fair will offer interpreters from 3 to 6 p.m.
The Welcoming Neighbors Career Fair will run Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Jayne Snyder Trails Center, 250 N. 21st St. in Lincoln.
The American Job Center is bringing together employers from multiple industries with foreign-born professionals and other job seekers. Attendees will be able to speak directly with employers and share their work experience and résumés.
Interpreters will be available during the event. International music and food are also scheduled as part of the gathering.

Puertas Abiertas will bring employers to South Omaha Thursday
Puertas Abiertas Job Fair will also run from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Heartland Workforce Solutions, 4425 S. 24th St. in Omaha.
The event is designed to connect job seekers with employers that have current career opportunities. Heartland Workforce Solutions has focused Puertas Abiertas on employers offering high-skill, high-wage and high-demand jobs, along with positions where limited English proficiency is not a barrier to employment.
The Omaha event is scheduled to take place outdoors at the South 24th Street location.
